Ministries / Prayer Ministry

The Sharp Memorial prayer ministry was established to bring about an awareness of the importance of prayer and to encourage you to grow in your prayer life. We believe that prayer is central to the life of the church and for every Christian. We invite you to come here often as we suggest ways to help you learn more about prayer, develop a prayer discipline, and walk closer to God.

How to Request Prayers

Do you need prayers for yourself, a loved one, or a friend? If so, choose the prayer request method that works best for you:

  • You can send prayer requests to the church office at sharpmeml@gmail.com

  • You can phone in a request to the church at 706-379-3210.

  • You can use the Prayer Request Box located on the church driveway.  The brick red and white, black- roofed prayer request box is easy to find on the drive past our church’s front doors. All are invited to open the door, fill out a prayer request form, and drop prayer requests in the lock box. Prayers of all kinds are expected, everything from personal joys and concerns to global worries. The Ruth Circle members have pledged to pick up submitted forms every Sunday morning and to pray with and for those leaving requests.

Our Prayer Promises to You

Your prayer concerns are important to us and to God, and we promise they will be handled with the utmost care. We promise to lift each person to God by name and need. Because we respect your privacy, we also promise to keep your concerns and personal information confidential.

Only with your explicit permission will we mention your request during worship service or share it with the congregation via E-Sharp.
